He was born on June 29, 1952 in Clinton, IA the son of Froble and Vivian (Kallenbach) Cargill. He married Deborah Slater on June 9, 1990. She survives.
Daniel is survived by two sons, Jon (Billie Stokowski) Cargill and Jason (Stacy) Cargill; one sister, Lynn (Terry) Smith and two nieces, Rachel Smith and Heather Lancaster.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of the UAW Local # 2096 and the Toluca Sportsman's Club. Daniel loved traveling with his wife and considered them lucky for the places that they were able to visit. He really enjoyed riding his Harley. Daniel loved anything with wheels and especially enjoyed watching car shows. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
A private family burial on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Minonk Township Cemetery. Pastor Richard Reed will officiate the service. Burial rites have been entrusted to Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk.
