Jacob G. Allendorf, 83, 620 N. Topeka Ave., died Saturday at a Topeka hospital. He was born March 9, 1896 at Topeka, the son of Peter and Barbara Shanefeldt Allendorf, and lived all his life in the Topeka community. Mr. Allendorf was a retired carpenter for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Topeka, and an Army veteran of World War I.

He was married to Catherine Desch. She survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Darlene V. Chrylser, Los Angeles, Mrs. Delores E. Walker and Mrs. Mary J. Pummill, both of the home, and Mrs. Lucille Emma Currier, 3401 W. 10th; four sons, Robert E. Allendorf, Meriden, Velmar G. Allendorf, 1020 N. Quincy, LaVern J. Allendorf, 1114 Kellam, and Raymond L. Allendorf, of the home; a sister, Mrs. Helen McCarter, 2121 Virginia; 16 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka. Brennan Funeral Home, Topeka, is in charge of arrangements.
