Beryl M Claggett, 72, died of natural causes Monday morning at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton She was born Sept. 5, 1911, in Los Angeles, the daughter of Archibald and Mabel Bennie. She married Julius E. Claggett on Jan. 8, 1947, in Bremerton. Wash, and they moved to Hamilton in 1981 Mrs Claggett was a past Pocahontas of Nokomis Council 32 in Index, Wash., a member of the Improved Order of Redmen Degree of Pocahontas, a past great Pocahontas Reservation of Washington and a past worthy matron of Eastern Star Floral Chapter 117, Sultan, Wash. Survivors include her husband. Julius, Hamilton, two sons. Dudley Vanderpool, Corvallis and Darryl Claggett, Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Billie Ann Toler, Fortuna Calif., a nephew Bob Claggett, Monroe, Wash., 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Friday at Community Methodist Church in Index, Wash. Local arrangements are by Dowling Funeral Home in Hamilton. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
