Johnnie was many things to many people. To his co-workers at Blythe Industries, he was a dependable equipment operator for 43 years. To his wife, Jewell Robinson, Johnnie was a best friend for 54 years of marriage. To his son, Jason Robinson, he was a wonderful father and confidant. To his daughter-in-law, Teena McCurry Robinson, who he treated like a daughter, Johnnie was a source of laughter, comfort, and wisdom. To his grandson, Ryker, he was Papa which he loved more than any other job or title that he held in his life. To his sister, Mae Doane (special friend Scott Callahan) and his brother, J.D. Pate (Elizabeth), he was a brother that they could always turn to. To Johnnie's church family at Bee Log Baptist Church, he was a faithful follower of Christ. To the people that saw Johnnie for the last 10 years at the Bee Log Convenience Center, he was a helper who was there to make sure everyone was taken care of in a friendly way. To his special friend, Dean Trimble, he was a trusted advisor and helper on many, many projects. Johnny is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Johnnie was a good man that showed the love of Christ in his life and always had a servant's heart. He will be missed by lots of people. Johnnie will be remembered by his friends and family on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. The Reverends Travis Spivey, Kelly Bryant, and Aaron Autrey will officiate with burial to follow in the Bee Log Hill Cemetery.
