Joseph Padgett, 45, lifelong Royal Oak resident, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at home. He was born Aug. 16, 1955, in Ferndale, the son of Edith Padgett of Royal Oak and the late Jesse Padgett.

Mr. Padgett was a laborer and worked in the automotive industry. He was a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He is survived by siblings, Gary (Karen) of Warren, Dennis of Pleasant Ridge, Theresa (Ralph) Daniels of Eagle Lake, Fla., Ralph (Brenda) of Warren, Dale of Brownstown, Michael (LuAnn) of Sterling Heights, David (Glori) of Yale, Deborah (Robert) Bush of Taylor, Sharon Kind of Royal Oak, Rebecca (Robert) Deakin of Sterling Heights, Suzanne (John) Dix of Lapeer, and Patricia (John) Davenport of Spring Lake.

Visitation 5-8 pm Tuesday at William Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile, Royal Oak; funeral services 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, burial, Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
