Robert C Gibbs, 101 of Pulaski passed away Friday December 4, 2020 at the Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero.

Robert was born October 23, 1919 in Sandy Creek, NY to Charles and Margaret (Woodruff)Gibbs. He served in the United States Army from 1943-44 returning home after being injured. Robert married Beatrice Bennett. He was a mechanic by trade but also drove bus for Pulaski Academy for several years.

In his earlier years he was a race car driver while in California. Robert was a member of Pulaski American Legion and served there at many fish dinners they had. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pulaski.

Robert is survived by his son Robert Gibbs, daughter Becky Allen, sister Ruth Russell of St Albans, VT and his beloved niece Janet Dove and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Charles, his wife Beatrice, a son Richard Gibbs, a daughter Barb Stewart, siblings Hazel Powelezyk, Doris Murray, Marge Bennett and Paul Gibbs.

There are no services at this time. A joint burial of Robert and Beatrice will be in the spring at South Richland Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Cottages #30, especially Kathy and Kelly, for their loving care of Robert during his stay there.
