Born on her father’s birthday on April 20, 1953, she was the daughter of John and Betty (Williams) Powell. A lifelong resident of Chester, WV, Debbie was a graduate of Oak Glen High School Class of 1971.
Surviving are two aunts Patricia Jones, Las Vegas, NV and Barbara Henderson, Georgetown, PA. There are also seven first cousins Johnny Williams, Jim Williams, Sandy Dickey, Jackie McKamey, Alan Leak, Mark Henderson, and Michele Henderson. There are also many second and third cousins.
In addition, Debbie was blessed with many wonderful friends who loved her and will also miss her. Heartfelt thanks to her friends Kim, Mary, Janice, Debbie, Shirley, Hannah, Jingles, Lorene, Marlene, and Janet for always being there for Debbie.
Debbie had a love for all animals, especially cats. She will be greatly missed by her two fur babies Cuddles and Sparky.
Debbie was a member of the House of Prayer, East Liverpool, OH. She loved attending church and worshipping with her church family. Words cannot express the thanks given to Pastor Kim Gadd for the constant love and support she has shown to Debbie and her family during this difficult time.
Debbie was employed by One Main Financial for almost 42 years as a Senior Loan Officer. She took great pride in her work and was recognized with many honors and awards during her career. She would always go above and beyond for her customers, many who would become friends.
Due to the current conditions, private services were conducted by her Pastor Kim Gadd at McConnell Funeral Home. She was laid to rest at Locust Hill Cemetery with her parents.
