In Loving Memory of Jimmie “Jean” Nichols who passed away on April 19, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jean was born October 13, 1931 in Celeste, TX and was the 4th and surprise daughter of the late Mattie and James Monroe Passons. Graduated from Celeste High School, Class of 1949.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life Rayford Nichols after enjoying 52 years of marriage. Left to cherish her wonderful memory are her sons James Nichols and wife Andrea of Poetry, TX: Tim Ray Nichols of Seagoville: granddaughters Rae Lea Jansson and husband Karl; Jamie Drummond and husband Beau; Katie Nichols; Sarah Nichols and Elizabeth Craft and husband Shane and six great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter; Ty, David, Ryan, Justin, Levy, Luke and Karley.

She was a devoted Christian and active member of the Seagoville Methodist Church.

Jean retired from the banking business after 27 years and reentered the workforce and continued to serve her community at the Seagoville Senior Center until she retired at the young age of 87.

She was a warm, loving and feisty grandmother "Nanny" that always saw the good in everybody. Family and Friends were her greatest joy. Jean touched the hearts of so many people throughout her life, her memory will forever be a blessing.

Jimmie Jean was also preceded in death by her parents Monroe and Mattie Passons and 3 sisters and brother in laws, Hilda Viola "Dot" and Gaston Alexander, Joe Nell and Walter "Sam" Gibbs, and Loys Arlene "Sis" and Nolan "Chigger" Doyle. The Legendary Passons sisters are together again.

Her final resting place will be by her beloved husband Rayford and many family members at Hogeye Celeste Cemetery in Celeste, Tx.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for friends and family.
