WILLARD (BOOB) ACKISON
Willard (Boob) Ackison, 78, Coonville, died at 12:45 a.m. today in Mount St. Mary Hospital, Nelsonville, where he had been a patient for the past 11 days.
A retired coal miner, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Lydia McCormick Ackison of Lawrence County. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
His wife Grace died September 17, 1960.
Surviving are four sons, Ellis of Logan Rt. 4, Edwin of New Plymouth Rt. 1, Herbert of Nelsonville Rt. 2, and Orville of Nelsonville; four daughters, Mrs. Mollie Lowe of Nelsonville Rt. 1, Mrs. Bonnie Prater and Mrs. Emma Berry both of Nelsonville, and Mrs. Garnet Klinebriel of Logan; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a brother Benjamin of Pedro, O. who is the last of nine children. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Charlotte.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lawrence Methodist Church, Lawrence County, with the Rev. Harry Dickerson of Bremen officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrence Furnace Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Heinlein Funeral Home from 2 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday and at the residence in Coonville until 11 a.m. Saturday.
