Cheryl L. Philipanko Wood, age 62, of Monroe, passed away peacefully August 28, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Wood was born in Bridgeport and was a longtime Monroe resident. She was an x-ray technician at St. Vincent's Medical Center. An avid gardener, she enjoyed spending time outdoors. Mrs. Wood was recently predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald L. Wood. Survivors include her devoted daughters, A------ Carey and her husband P---- of Fairfield, S---- Carusone and her husband S-------- of Monroe, and E-------- Wood of Fairfield; one loving sister, D------ and her husband F---- Tartaglia of Monroe; three cherished granddaughters, M-------- Carusone, E--- Carey and K-------- Carey and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Wednesday at 10 a.m. (Directly) at St. Jude's Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment in Monroe Center Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd.
