HOLLIS CENTER – Mildred Meggison Grant, 92, formerly of Gorham passed away peacefully at home with her family on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Mildred grew up in Gorham and graduated from Gorham High School Class of 1946. When she married her husband, Ralph, they moved to Windham. Over the years, Mildred owned a couple of small businesses and ended her working career as the Deputy Clerk for the Town of Gorham for seventeen years.

Mildred also moved to Greenville to be closer to her sister, Dot, and eventually moving to Hollis Center where she lived out the rest of her life.

She enjoyed baking, knitting, road trips all over the east coast, spending time with her family, and visiting the lighthouses of Maine.

Mildred was a long time member of the White Rock Baptist Church in Gorham.

She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph Grant; her mother, Gladys Meggison; four brothers and a sister.

Surviving are her son, Jeffrey and grandchildren, Amanda, Caitlin and Nicholas.

A private interment at Mayberry Cemetery, Windham will be held.
