Sarah Jennings Fisher was born in Columbus, MS on December 4, 1965 in Columbus, MS to Emma Jean Brooks Jennings and the late Henry C. Jennings. She departed this life on April 17, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital GT in Columbus, MS.
Sarah confessed Christ at an early age at Oak Grove M.B. Church and later joined Northside M.B. Church. Sarah grew up in Columbus, MS and attended Columbus City Schools. She completed her education at Lee High School in the Class of 1983. Her working career spanned over many years as a dietary supervisor. Sarah provided meal services at various nursing homes which included: Dale Personal Care, Vineyard Court, and Aurora Australis Lodge.
Sarah married Tommy J. Fisher and to this union two children were born. Their union provided many years of wonderful love and memories that will forever be cherished.
Sarah is preceded in death by her father, Henry C. Jennings.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Tommy J. Fisher; her sons, Najee Rashad Fisher and Thomas Christopher Fisher; her step-daughter, Tommesha Shelton; mother, Emma Jean Jennings; her brothers and sisters, Henry L. Jennings, Patricia A. Brooks, Willie J. Jennings, Barbara Ferrow, Steven Jennings, Renee Green, and Elizabeth Sherrod; her sisters-in-law, Pauline, Mary Ann, Mary Lee, and Vanessa; her brother-in-law, Oscar Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.
