Dale Q. Murphy, age 83, of Ronks, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. He was the husband of Audrey L. Quigley Murphy with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 12th of this year.
He was born in Quarryville, son of the late William & Mary McMichael Murphy. He was a member of the High View Church of God. Dale worked for 30 years for Wickersham Construction & Engineering Inc. of Lancaster. He was a member of the Paradise Sportsman's Association and the Wilmar Camp of Potter County. He enjoyed yard sales, hunting, playing cards and watching the Phillies, Eagles and Ravens. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching deer from his back porch.
Surviving besides his wife are 3 children: Tami wife of Daniel Devine of Quarryville, Vaughn husband of Nancy Nauman Murphy of Strasburg, Vincent Murphy of Dagsboro, DE; 5 grandchildren: Kayla wife of Randy Sweger, Kyle Devine and his fianc'e Christy Lewis, Brittany wife of Brendan Joyce-Stengle, Staci & Christa Murphy; great granddaughter, Zooey Sweger; 2 sisters: Arlene Denlinger of Ronks and Esta Mowrer of Quarryville. He was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Funeral service will take place from the High View Church of God, 2470 Leaman Road, Ronks, PA on Friday, November 7th, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Interment will be in the Georgetown Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. If desired, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
