Toye Fillyaw Cooper
MOULTRIE — Toye Fillyaw Cooper, 82, of Moultrie died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center from injuries received in an auto accident.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tommy McDonald officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Jeremy Gray, Michael Thompson, Glen Culpepper, Howie Gray, Kurt Smith, Kyle Hiers, Chris Cooper and McKinnon Cooper.

Born July 25, 1925 in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Holiday Fillyaw and Ocie Massey Fillyaw Owens.

She retired from the Colquitt County Board of Education, Food Service Department, where she was associated with Stringfellow Elementary School for many years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Cooper and a daughter, Faye Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Cooper and wife Jo Ann of Douglas, Ga. and Ricky Cooper and wife Amie of Moultrie; four daughters, Alice Culpepper and husband Curtis of Moultrie, Joyce Gray and husband Howard of Ty Ty, Ga., Bobbie Culpepper and husband Lamar of Moultrie, Carol Weldon and husband James of Moultrie; two sisters, Maree Glass and Carolyn Glass, both of Moultrie; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Aug. 14 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

The family may be contacted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Culpepper, 1727 Georgia Highway 33 South in Moultrie.

Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
