Mrs. Rosa Dux Megli of Fairbury, Neb., died in a local nursing home Nov. 27, 1962, having reached the age of 83 years and 25 days.
Rosa Barbara Nun, daughter of Andrew and Mary Ann Schweinler Nun, was born Nov. 2, 1879 at Alexandria, Neb. She grew to womanhood in the Alexandria vicinity and on June 27, 1906, she was united in marriage to Julius Dux of Gladstone by the Rev. J. Ramser of the Zion Evangelical Reform church east of Gladstone. The couple had two daughters. The family made their home on a farm north of Gladstone until the death of Mr. Dux on Sept. 25, 1932.
On Nov. 14, 1938, she married William Megli at Hebron and they lived in the Tobias and Wilber vicinities. After the death of Mr. Megli on April 25, 1946, she made her home at Powell, later moving to Fairbury where she lived until her death, following a stroke earlier.
Her daughter, Theresa died Jan. 30, 1960, and her parents, three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Bertha, Mrs. Chris Kujath of Powell; granddaughter, Mary Ann, Mrs. Henry Keller of Rio Linda, Calif.; two great grandchildren, Marie and Edward Keller of Rio Linda, Calif., seven sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rothmeyer of Fairbury, Mrs. Emma Church of Holyoke, Colo., Miss Minnie Nun, Mrs. Mary Gillespie and Mrs. T. R. Renick of Greenville, Miss., and Mrs. Bessie Gilespie of Eugene, Ore., and other relatives.
Funeral services were Friday afternoon in the Traum chapel with the Rev. Bryce Hecht, pastor of the Zion United Church of Christ, officiating. Mrs. Richard Henning sang and Mrs. Alta Johnson was organist. Pallbearers were Emil Dux, Orville Rothmeyer, Connie Gaston and Wayne Glenn. Interment was in the church cemetery, east of Gladstone.
