Travis Wesley Stewart, 87, of Social Circle, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020. He was born in Sylacauga, AL to the late Stanley and Mary Luker Stewart. Travis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He was a man of his own words, self-dependent and very opinionated, but a loving man. He was a hardworking man who provided for his family. Although he had very little education, he was a very smart, and ran his own business for over 40 years. Travis was a deacon at the Church of God for more than 60 years. He loved to travel and camped in many states. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth Stewart; son-in-law, George Lore; sister, Geniva Stewart; brother, Lewis Stewart.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Connie Stewart; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Robert Barfield, daughter Cathy Lore; grandchildren, Sandy (Chris), Beau, Kevin (Suzanne), Shane (Lanita), Travis, Jennifer, Jacon, Aly, Dakota, Gracie; 7 great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Van and Pearl Stewart, Wendel Stewart, Jerome Stewart; many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Lawnwood Memorial Park with J.B. Leachman officiating. Condolences may be at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.
