Constance then wanted to be a complete and devoted mother to her children of five so she had a determination to attend school in order to bring support to her children. She attended The Obici School of Nursing and graduated in 1972 from the LPN school which licensed her with her L.P.N. License. She then wanted and had more determination for growth in the Nursing field so she started working towards her RN license to become a registered nurse. She attended Tidewater Community College (Portsmouth Campus) where she stayed until she passed the necessary requirements to receive her RN license through the State Board of Nursing. She completed the RN program there and became a Registered Nurse by the Commonwealth of Virginia. She worked twenty-five years at several hospitals over Hampton Roads, Va.
