James Eric Haddock passed away on April 17, 2020 at the age of 78, in Neosho, Missouri. He was born November 10, 1941 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, 15 minutes after his twin sister, Deanna, to parents Fredine Haddock (Tarvin) and James L. Haddock. He graduated Neosho High School in 1959 and attended Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. Eric served in the U.S. Army, Operations Assistant in Headquarters Company of the 552nd Artillery Group in Germany. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Junior College but had to quit due to illness. He worked as City Clerk for the City of Neosho for many years, and after retirement, worked for the Neosho Golf Course. He was a member of the Neosho Rotary Club from 1987-2008, serving as past President and as a Paul Harris Benefactor, and served as the President of Missouri City Clerks and Finance Officers Association 1997-1998. He was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church and loved to crochet, work crossword puzzles, play bridge and in younger years, hunt with his Dad and Deanna. James is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by sisters, Deanna Swift, Neosho, MO, Mary Lynn Ranz, Neosho, MO, Joyce Ann Hollmann and husband Bill, Moberly, MO. The family will have a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Eric may be made to the Neosho United Methodist Church c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, Missouri 64850.
