Our momma, Anita Louise Parks took her heavenly walk with Jesus, Monday morning, April 20, 2020, surrounded by her children and family. Louise was 81 years of age and from Bellflower, MO.

Louise came to be the second daughter of Lewis Ross Drew and Naomi E. Fox Drew on May 12, 1938. Louise loved Jesus and worshiped the ground He walked on and his Promised words. She got all seven of her children to church and made sure they knew the love of Jesus.

Louise was the beloved wife of Melvin Parks, together over 50 years. Together they raised seven children, His, Mine and Ours, Mamma loved to tell it that way.

Louise was from Pryor, Oklahoma, no stranger to hard work and good times! Momma loved to reminisce her childhood, talk of her Daddy and his time in WWII.

Louise had several occupations in her days, being raised on Oklahoma Prairie Farm, waitress, nursing home, community baker (100’s of cakes), café owner, factory worker, back to nursing home till her retirement in 2015. And very proud of the memories of her Great Grandmother, “Gertie”, the strongest women she knew.

Louise loved to teach her children to grow a bountiful garden, to clean and her love for baking, later in life a shared fondness with Mel of singing songs about life and Jesus.

Louise had eight children, Wanda Norris (Joe), Wayne Roach, Baby Boy Roach, Lori Stuemeyer, Anita Pickrell, Brad Roach, Cindy Hesterberg (Mark), and Rick Parks (Debbie), plus 22 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Parks; her parents; Sister, Ella Mae Strader; infant son, Baby Boy Roach and son, Wayne Roach.

Louise had her loving fur babies at home also, Lucky and Coco.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the Bellflower Cemetery in Bellflower, MO. Serving as pallbearers are Brad Roach, Rich Parks, Kyle Norris, Joe Norris, Cory Rees, and Mark Hesterberg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Bellflower Cemetery in honor of Louise Parks, c/o Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361.
