Mrs. Melissa Eveline Harrell, 96, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday morning, April 19, 2020, in the comfort of her home.

Melissa entered this life on October 24, 1923 in rural McDonald County, Missouri, daughter of the late Eli and Leona (Thomas) Beaver. She was a lifelong area resident and a devoted homemaker throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer Harrell on February 12, 1983; two sons, Lester and Ronald Harrell; a daughter, Rosie McDonald; two brothers, Johnny and Odis Beaver; and two sisters, Pearl Beaver and Esther Gideon.

Melissa is survived by two children, Jerry Harrell of Anderson and Connie Martin also of Anderson; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandson; a sister, Genevie Gideon of Anderson; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Union Cemetery near Longview. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
