Steve Earl Powell, 69, of Danville passed away on April 18, 2020 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville.

He was born in Danville on December 18, 1950, the son of Palmer I. and Ary M. (Acree) Powell.

Steve is survived by his wife, Crystal Powell; daughter, Amy (Andrew) Hoskins; 2 sons, Steven (Megan) Powell II and Troy (Melba) Cordes; 8 grandchildren whom he loves dearly, David, Becky, Christopher, Steven III , Savannah , Emerson, Michael and Thomas; three brothers Arthur Powell, Leroy (Catherine) Powell and William Powell and 2 sisters, Lula Stark and Millie Powell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Floyd Powell, Donald Powell and Paul Powell and sister, Mary Lou.

Steve was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He worked as a truck driver, a mechanic, auctioneer and was a Teamster Member. Steve never met a stranger. He loved spending time with friends drinking lots of coffee. He will also be sadly missed by a Special Friend Terri.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Cemetery in Danville (Indian Springs).
