Thelma M. (Fisher) (Poliseno) Murphy, 94, of South Yarmouth and Clearwater, FL, formerly of Easton, died December 26, 2015 at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park, FL after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Frederick J. Murphy of South Yarmouth and Clearwater, Florida and the late Armond Poliseno. Born in Attleboro on February 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Boucher) Fisher, she was raised and educated in Attleboro and was a longtime resident of Easton. Thelma was employed by the Town of Easton as an administrative assistant to the Superintendent of the Easton Public Schools. Thelma was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling. Her hobbies included crosswords, knitting, bingo, and playing cards with friends. She was an active member with the Safety Harbor Community in Clearwater, FL. In addition to her husband Frederick, she is survived by three children, Charles Poliseno of Hanover, Susan Cruickshank of Brooks, ME, and Peter Murphy of Norton; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She was also the mother of the late Michael Poliseno and sister of the late Geraldine DeYoung, Bernard Fisher and Clement Fisher. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton.
