William Nash, 74, died at 8:45 a.m. Friday at his home in Markle following an illness of 10 months. He was seriously ill for several days prior to his death. Mr. Nash was employed by the Fruehauf Trucking company in Fort Wayne before taking ill.
He was born December 24, 1872, to Uriah and Elizabeth Jane Nash in Wells county and was married to Elizabeth Redding who died in 1902. His second marriage was to Ida Nicholson, December 2, 1906.
Mr Nash was a member of the Markle Church of Christ.
Surviving are the widow; one son, Hershel Nash, Decatur; one sister, Mrs Mattie Raver, of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
The body was taken to the McGuffey funeral home in Markle and will be returned to the residence where friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Richard Burton officiating, assisted by the Rev. Robert Yunker.
Burial will be in the Uniontown cemetery.
