Melanie Ann Henline Ford passed away peacefully at her home on April 16, 2020, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was with the love of her life, her husband Bob.

Melanie was born June 3, 1965 in Granger, Utah to Howard Leon Henline and Cheri Lee Palmer Henline.

She was born the second daughter of six children. Melanie graduated from Granger High School and then went on to earn her Associates Degree from Mountainwest Business College. Bob and Melanie met shortly after her brief first marriage ended and they knew they were meant to be together. They were married on September 30, 1988. In 1990 they built a home in Bluffdale on the edge of civilization, where no one else was around and that is where they have lived and raised their family, although everything has now built up around them and they are far from alone. After struggling with infertility, they were finally able to adopt Alisha in May of 1994 and she became the center of their world.

Melanie was so excited to have a little girl and she always dressed Alisha up in the cutest outfits.

Melanie used her many strengths in her years of work with Comphealth Staffing, Souvall Investments, Peterson’s Grocers, and the State of Utah. Melanie had a love for animals and loved riding their horses. She and Bob loved to camp and spent many days in the mountains. She loved frogs and collected many things frog related. She loved holidays and decorating and buying gifts to spoil those she loved. She had a kind heart and loved taking care of others. She will be greatly missed by all those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Ford and his children Christon Ford and Becky Wiley, and their daughter Alisha (Lee) Poole; 6 grandchildren, who she adored; three sisters and one brother, Teresa (Tod) Kehi, Jodi (John) Wilkey, William (Emily) Henline , and Jennifer Coomer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother Howard Charles Henline, who died at birth.

Funeral Services will not be held due to the current pandemic and a graveside service will include only immediate family.

The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice for their loving care of Melanie during this difficult time.

“We love you Mel, even though we can’t see you or hear your voice anymore, you will always be in our hearts.”
