Joseph Hall, son of Joseph Hall and Abigail Brooks, was born April 26, 1761 and died 1848, Boston, Suffolk Co MA. He resided in Boston and was a Sheriff and Judge of Probate. He graduated at Harvard in 1781. He was commissioned to write an oration for the city of Boston for the 4th of July in 1800. This was published as: "An Oration, pronounced July 4, 1800, at the request of the INHABITANTS OF THE TOWN OF BOSTON, in commemoration of the Anniversary of AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE...........
