Born June 20, 1955, in Elliott County, she was a daughter of the late Genious and Maye (Brickey) Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, William Henry Lewis.
Dianna is survived by her husband, Chris Caldwell, whom she wed October 4, 2015; two sons, Jason (Alisca) Elliott and Jared (Kellie) Elliott of Morehead (whom she shared with Ernie Elliott 31 years); three grandchildren, Dustin, Mikey, and Izzy. Through marriage to Chris, she lovingly gained two children, Cole (Amie) Caldwell and Emily (Zack) Mullins and three grandchildren, Cainan, Collyn, and McCoy.
Other survivors include two brothers, Jack (Martha) Lewis and Jim (Beverly) Lewis, all of Elliott County; three sisters, Ruth (David) Peters and Ruby Fannin (widow of Joe), all of Elliott County, and Merlene (Allen) Fox of Pennsylvania, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dianna graduated from Elliott County High School and attended Ashland Community College and Morehead State University. She became an L.P.N. and later an R.N. A nurse at St. Claire for 32 years, she retired in 2016, where she is remembered as being a great co-worker and a dedicated, caring and compassionate nurse.
Dianna enjoyed traveling, being with friends and family, always eager to lend a helping hand, and even playing matchmaker. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making big family meals for gatherings. She is remembered by many as being beautiful inside and out. Being the precious, sweet and wonderful woman who was a blessing to know and be around, she took great pride and found great joy in her children and grandchildren—who lovingly named her Ne-Ne.
Dianna has left many with cherished memories and will be greatly missed.
