Charlene Brown, 73, of Bokoshe, Oklahoma was born on October 5, 1946, in Milton, Oklahoma to Olin and Verlon Lillie (Wilson) Sides, and passed away on April 17, 2020, in Bokoshe, Oklahoma. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, G.T. Brown; parents, Olin and Verlon Sides, and one sister, Ruth Ann. She was a retired U.S. Postal Service Postmaster.
Survivors are: her son, Robbie Brassfield and wife Suzzanna; step daughter, Carol Hammons and her husband Larry; step son, Michael Brown and his wife Becky; three special granddaughters, Amanda Jenkins and her husband Justin; Brianna Brassfield; Brittnie Brassfield; three grandsons, Larry Paul Hammons and wife Heather; Josh Brown, Zach Brown; six great grandchildren, Temper, Bryer, Brystal, Kymber, Browning, and Jhett; and her special brother, Desmond Sides and friend Becky Burch.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no public viewing and graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2020, at Milton Cemetery with Pastor Cyndi Arnwine officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Danny Self, Justin Jenkins, Larry Don Brooks, Wayne Brown, Jerry Bray, and Tommy Swindle.
