Minister Edna E. Simmons passed away on December 11, 2019. She was born on February 23, 1960 in Butler County, Alabama to the late Willie (Hickey) Davis and Mattie J. Simmons.

She graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Alabama with the class of 1978. Edna was raised as a member of Harrison St. Christian Church. She later joined House of God Church but ultimately found her home at New Testament Holiness Church where she was a active member. Edna was a giver and helper. She loved and cared for everyone, It didn’t matter who you were, she was willing to help.

Edna was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Anderson and Mattie Lee Simmons; parents, Willie Davis and Mattie Simmons-Gray; stepfather Willie J Gray Sr; her son, Lamar Simmons; brothers and sister, Sylvester Simmons, Ceaser Crenshaw and Hattie Mae Crenshaw.

Edna leaves to cherish her memory: her children; six sisters; six brothers; one uncle; three grandchildren; two special cousins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relative friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Lomax Hannon, South Conecuh Street, Greenville, Alabama. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery on Hwy 10 West in Greenville, Alabama. Arrangements by Hudson Funeral Services,620 W Commerce Street, Greenville, Alabama.
