She moved to the Clay County area in 1984, first to Clay City and then in 2002 she moved to Brazil.
She had worked in the past for the Clay Community Schools as an instructional assistant at Northview, North Clay and Clay City.
Survivors include her children, Chad Hedden (Katy), Craig Hedden (Lori) and Tiffany Helms; her mother; grandchildren, Dana Hedden, Haley Hedden, Holly Hedden, Claire Hedden, Jacob Hedden, Grace Hedden, Luke Hedden, Rayce Collins, Ryker Collins, and Cruz Helms; two sisters, Karen Wilcoxen (Terry), Tina Jones Gordon, Ron Jones (Judy) and Steve 'Pete' Jones (Diane); and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by Rodney Gordon and her father, Roy Jones.
Cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Debby's life to be held at a later date, back home in the Farmington, IL area.
