Robert (Jean) Cox and John (Barbara) Cox both of Griffith and Fred (Mary Ann) Cox of Portage; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother, Edith Chaney, of Clinton, Indiana; four sisters, Sarah (George) Boren of Griffith,
Susan (Dr. Edward Pruitt) of Schererville, Darla (Richard) Buder of Merrillville and Mabel (James) McDermott of Dunreith, Indiana; one brother, Mace (Rose) Chaney of Clinton, IN; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, John W. Cox, Sr. , father, Mace Chaney, two grandsons, Timothy and Zach Cox, two sisters, Bernadine Baker and Ruth McDermott, and brother, William Chaney. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6th, at 11 a.m at the Fagen Miller Funeral Home, 242 North Griffith Blvd., Griffith, with Pastor Jim Heard officiating. Burial, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 9 pm.
