Cox, age 56, of Schererville, passed away Sunday, June 25, 1978 Survivors: wife Georgia; three sons, Robert (Jean) of Griffith, John (Barbara) of New Elliott and Fred of Gary; three daughters, Mrs Edith (Olen) Keene, Mrs. Rita (Frank) Shey, both of New Elliott and Patricia Courtright of Griffith; 22 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Louise Phillips of Shelbyville, Indiana; two half sisters, Betty and Carrie Ellen of Southern, Indiana; mother-in-law, Mrs. Edith Chaney of Portage; nephews and neices. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28 at 1:00 p.m. from the Fagen-Miller Funeral Gardens, 242 N. Griffith Blvd., Griffith. Rev. Thurman Harris officiating. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends may call Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Mr. Cox was employed as a truck driver for Inland Steel.
