Dustin loved his family and was loved by his family and many friends. Dustin was the protector of his mom, sister and his soul mate Stacey Racicot. Dustin was an avid outdoorsman, showcasing his expert survival, hunting and fishing skills as he was often described by his friends as being the best. Dustin explored many places in the world. While doing so he utilized his expertise in extreme sports and outdoorsman skills, conquering and surviving all elements of the wild, land, sea and air. He lived his life to the fullest in his travels. While he loved to live on the edge during his young life, he also had a professional side and displayed it with the jobs he worked. Dustin was on the road to accomplishing one of his last known goals. The day after he left us a letter from NYS Corrections and Community Supervision came in the mail at his childhood home. This letter stated that Dustin passed the exam and was invited to interview for the position for Officer Trainee. We have an infinite amount of love for Dustin. We are very proud of Dustin and we will miss him every day for the rest of our lives.
