Howard Arnold
Brown County native Howard Allen "Skip" Arnold died Tuesday, December 15, 1998, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. A resident of Bradenton, Florida, he was 77.
Mr. Arnold was born December 13, 1921, in Brown County to Ralph and Grace Brummett Arnold. His widow, Naomi Ruth Arnold, survives.
He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1939 and was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Arnold had worked as a farmer. He was a member of Centennial Christian Church in Martinsville and Bradenton Christian Church in Florida.
Other survivors include two sons; Theron A. "Skip" Arnold of Martinsville and Danny Arnold of Englewood, Florida; a daughter, Jill Gulash of Bradenton, Florida; two brothers, Al Arnold and Tom Arnold, both of Martinsville; a sister, Iris Lee of Martinsville; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Cragen and Lois Carmichael; and two brothers, Fred Arnold and William Arnold.
Larry J. Kuntz led a service Saturday, December 19, at Neal and Summers Mortuary in Martinsville.
Burial was in Morgan County's Centennial Cemetery.
