Mrs. Janet S. Starnes, age 57, of Peachland, North Carolina, passed away Thursday evening, April 16, 2020, at the McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, North Carolina.
A graveside funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1901 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112, officiated by Reverend Paul Saleeby and Reverend Frank Crump.
Mrs. Starnes was born on December 13, 1962, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Willie James Starnes and the late Mable Price Starnes.
Janet was a bus driver with the UCPS
Survivors include her husband, Danny Allen Starnes of Peachland, NC; a son, Daniel Andrew "Andy" Starnes and wife Jordan of Jefferson, SC; two daughters, Danielle Starnes of Raleigh, NC and Monica Starnes Delimata and husband Darrin of Garner, NC; two brothers, Gary Starnes and the late Sandra of Monroe and Jimmy Starnes of Monroe; two sisters, Joyce Helms and the late Paul of Monroe and Sharon Stroud and husband Boyd of Monroe.
There are four grandchildren, Maeleigh Delimata, Aidan Delimata, Waylon Starnes and Lennox Starnes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to Benton Heights Presbyterian Church.
