Betty L. Lynch, age 69, of Needmore, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on Monday, January 8, 1951 in Chambersburg, PA, the daughter of the late Richard and the late Myrtle (Shipley) Mellott. Betty married Richard A. Lynch on August 25, 1965 in Hagerstown, MD.
Betty is survived by her husband of 54 years Richard A. Lynch of Needmore, PA, one daughter Tina (wife of Danny) Buterbaugh of Big Cove Tannery, PA, one son Rick (husband of Tessa) Lynch of Needmore, PA, 6 grandchildren (Danny Buterbaugh Jr., Brock Buterbaugh, Amber Buterbaugh, Dillin Buterbaugh, Dakota Lynch and Shayla Lynch) and 5 great grandchildren (Sawyer Buterbaugh, Kash Buterbaugh, Johnathon Lynch, Elizabeth Lynch and Aaliyah Lynch). She is also survived by two brothers, Sam Cordell and Robert Mellott and two sisters, Lori Filer and Linda Munday.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, one son John Lynch, one sister Rose Beaver and two brothers, Kenny Mellott and Richard Mellott.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home to defray funeral costs.
