Joel Calhoun Wilson, 75, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Born in Newberry, SC, he was a son of the late Maxie and Arney Derrick Wilson. Joel was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Joel was a Master Barber for 50 years. Together with his wife, Juanita, he co-owned and operated The Cutting Point where he had many loyal clients for the duration of his career. He enjoyed golfing with his wife and was an avid Gamecock fan.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Juanita Tidwell Wilson and daughter, Angela Wilson (Adrienne). He is also survived by his brother, Ray Wilson and sister, Nellie Drafts (husband, Roy Drafts, deceased). Joel was preceded in death by his brother, Maxie Lee Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 525 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29210.
