On April 15, 2020 at 2:45 am. Jeanne M James went home to join her beloved family gone before her. Jeanne lived a long happy life and her desire was for everyone to rejoice in her celebration of going home. Jeanne loved to cook, knit, sew and doing arts & crafts. Jeanne loved reading, playing cards, dancing and singing. Jeanne loved her flowers and gardening. Jeanne was one of the most loving, caring, and generous person anyone would ever encounter. Jeanne was active in the Catholic Church, and a current member of Holy Trinity Catholic church where she was a member of the woman's Guild. She loved baking whether it was for a bake sale at church or making a special birthday cake for everyone that worked at Repco Parts. She always enjoyed helping with a family project where special Christmas Care Packages were made for a few nursing homes. Family was important to Jeanne that's really all she cared about most and wanted everyone to get along with each other.

Jeanne went to Mishawaka High School and graduated with high honors where she was active in the debate clubs. On Oct 22, 1938 she married Samuel "Eddie" Royce and they had 4 children: Carol, Phillip, Marjorie and Patricia. Her husband passed away on January 7, 1973.

On May 5, 1978 Jeanne married Robert James creating a blended family with three additional children: Robert Jr., Beverly and Janet. Robert passed away on February 23, 1992.

Jeanne has a multitude of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, spouses of children from both families as well as hundreds of friends. We didn't want to miss anyone so, not to offend anyone no individual names will be mentioned. Just know this that Jeanne loved each and every one for who they are and their uniqueness. She had a big heart!

Jeanne, passed away quietly in her granddaughter's home with Ann Marie and Patricia by her side so she didn't die alone. Jeanne wanted everyone to know she will be watching over us from above so don't be sad as it's not goodbye but see you later.

On the last night before Jeanne passed we prayed the Lord's Prayer, Hail Mary, a personal prayer as well as Psalm 23. Ann and Patricia sang "Amazing Grace" as that always seemed to calm her for the night. We kissed her goodnight and told her she was loved and with that she mouthed the words "I love you, too"!

Over the last year when Jeanne would struggle with anything; Ann or Patricia or the nurses would always say "mom / grandma "your OK" so with that said "Mom/Grandma NOW YOU'RE TRULY OK!"...'til we meet again…Much LOVE

Many special thanks to the caregivers, nurses and doctors who took care of her over the past year.
