Georgia Nell Spivey, passed away on April 22, in Dallas, Texas. Nell was born on August 24, 1917 in San Antonio, Texas to George and Maud Myer.
She attended public schools in San Antonio and graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1934. She married William Allen Spivey in 1951. Her careers included school secretary, assistant to the VP of Personnel and later assistant to the Superintendent of the San Antonio Independent School District. After her retirement, Nell and Allen enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. She was active for many years at Baptist Temple where she taught classes and served on several church committees. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and an adored Me Maw to her grandchildren and great-grand children.
She is survived by husband Allen Spivey, brother Danny Myer, son Dr. Mike Awalt and wife Connie Gowen; daughter Nancy Spencer and husband Leroy and grandchildren, Brad, Leslie, Kelly, Lauren, Ryan, Steve and Susanna and eight great grand children.
