Emogene C. Darnell, age 93 of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at her sister's home in Kennesaw. She was born March 21, 1927 to E.W. and Donna Jean Chastain Sr.
Mrs. Darnell is survived by her daughter, Amy Darnell Ray of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Ruthanna Darnell Wingo and Greg Wingo of Tate; daughter-in-law, Tammy Coleman Darnell of Tate; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Chastain Herndon and Olan Herndon of Charlottesville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Staci Chastain of Dallas, Georgia; sister, Ann Chastain Merritt of Kennesaw; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Cheryl Chastain of Powder Springs; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. D. T. Darnell; sons, Carl Darnell and Harmon Darnell; and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Lake Forest Memorial Park with Reverend Jim Schlicht officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
