extended illness. Born Oct. 22, 1909, in Medford, he was the son
of the late Ernest and Annie Harmon Myers. He was the husband
of Fannie Myrtle Gonder Myers, his wife of 62 years.
He was employed at Congoleum of Finksburg for 46 years before
retiring in 1974. He was a member of Pipe Creek Church of
the Brethren , near Linwood. In August 1999, he became a resident
of Pleasant View Nursing Home. Surviving, in addition to his wife,
are daughter Joyce E. Myers of Westminster; daughter and
son-in-law Brenda L. and Robert R. Ziegler of Myrtle Beach,
S.C.; sister Martha Ebaugh of Baltimore; one granddaughter; and
two great-granddaughters.
He was predeceased by brothers Norman, Ray, and Lester Myers;
and sister LaRue Stoner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hartzler
Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, with his pastor, the
Rev. Wanda Clark , officiating. Interment will be in Meadow
Branch Cemetery, Westminster.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution s may be made to Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren, 26 Pipe Creek Road, Union Bridge, MD 21791.
