Age 83, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Superior Woods Healthcare Center.

He was born May 4, 1936 in Hurricane Mills, TN, the son of John and Nell Irene (French) Campbell.

On July 7, 1957 he married Mary Ellen Westbrook in Nevada and she preceded him in death.

Russ retired from General Motors with over 40 years as a painter. He served honorably for the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War.

Survivors include: one daughter, Loretta (Tom) McIlhiny of Ypsilanti; three sons, Bill (Julie) Campbell of Texas, John (Tracey) Campbell of Arkansas and Austin Campbell of Ypsilanti; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy and several brothers and sisters.

A private graveside service will be Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 2:30pm at Washtenong Memorial Park with Pastor John White officiating.
