Betty is survived by her children Sharon (Carl) Hoffman of Goodlettsville, TN, Karen (Tim) Bailey of Fort Myers, FL, and Michael (Tammy) Combs of Fort Myers, FL. Also surviving are her grandchildren Paul Hoffman, Blair Bailey, and Isabella Combs and her great grandchildren Hunter Bailey, Hayden Bailey, James Hoffman, and Clara Hoffman. Her siblings are William (Jo Ann) Graham and Naomi (Ken) Summerall who also survive her.
Betty and her husband owned and operated B & C Refrigeration in Fort Myers for many years where she did the accounting for the business. Betty was an excellent seamstress and worked for several interior designers in Fort Myers.
Betty, a devoted Christian, was an active member in several Baptist churches in the area over the years. She was a charter member of both Tropic Isles Baptist Church and Crossroads Baptist Church and was a member of Olga Baptist Church at the time of her death. Over the years she served as a Sunday School teacher and a Vacation Bible School teacher, was a member of the Women’s Mission group and a number of committees, and worked in the church library at several churches of which she was a member.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 19 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers with internment to follow at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
