NONAGENARIAN DIES; HAD 135 DESCENDANTS
A nonagenarian with 51 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, and 8 great- great -grandchildren will be buried Monday. He is Issac Thomas (Uncle Ike) Brock, 93, who died Saturday at the residence of his son, Johnny Brock, Route 4, Lufkin, after several months of illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Largent Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the residence until the funeral hour.
Brock was born January 11, 1856 in Lee County, Miss. to Robert Moses and Charity Ann Evans Brock. He resided in Angelina County for the past 90 years. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Methodist church.
He was preceded in in death by his wife and mother of their seven children, Ida Noveline Hill Brock in 1931; and two daughters, Jarusha Ann Dunn in 1943 and Mary Elizabeth Dunn in 1918.
Survivors include three sons, Isaac Lee Brock and Johnny Calhoun Brock of Lufkin, and David Talmadge Brock of Pittsburg, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Ola Rogers of Lufkin, and Mrs. Elmina Jane Cox of Pollock; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Dunn Lufkin; 51 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
