Mrs. Evelyn Marjorie Armstrong, age 92, of the Folsom community, Adairsville passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at Erlanger Hospital.
She was born in the Adairsville, April 9, 1928, daughter of the late Max Aubrey Adcock and Elsie Naoma Green Adcock. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Armstrong worked for K-Mart for over 20 years. A genuine homemaker, she always kept a clean house. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her genealogy with family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Armstrong; son, Randy Armstrong; and brother, Alton Aubrey “Buddy” Adcock.
Survivors include her grandson, Robert Armstrong; daughter-in-law, Lee Hollingshed; sisters-in-law, Cleo Adcock, Maxine (Harold) Beavers, and Jean Armstrong; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all funeral services will be private in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. Graveside service will be held Thursday, April 16, 2020, in Hayes Cemetery, Folsom Community with Rev. Gregg Free officiating. The family will have a celebrations of Evelyn’s life at a later date.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Evelyn Marjorie Adcock Armstrong.
