Henry Brunner, 74-year-old farmer of the Plew community, was pronounced dead on arrival Saturday morning at McCune-Brooks hospital in Carthage after he suffered an apparent heart attack at Log City, 14 miles east of Carthage.
Henry Brunner, born July 9, 1889 and passed away Nov. 9, 1963 in his home at Plew, Missouri. He has lived in the community since a small boy.
He was united in marriage to Katie Campbell on Feb. 14, 1912. Eight children were born in their union. Mrs. Katie Brunner passed away in 1955.
Henry and Mrs. Eula Green were united in marriage in 1957.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eula Brunner; two sons, W.A. Brunner, Leavenworth, Kan., and Clarence Brunner, Sarcoxie; four daughters, Mrs. Arbun Doane, Thornton, Iowa; Mrs. Ruby Barker, Chapin, Iowa; Mrs. Carol Catron, Arkansas City, Kan., and Miss Mabel Brunner of the home; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Doane, Sheffield, Iowa; two brothers, Joe and John Brunner, of the La Russell area; his stepmother, Mrs. John Lanker, Olathe, Kan., and half brother, Herman Brunner, Phoenix, Ari.; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 11 step children by his second marriage plus a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Morris-Leiman funeral home at Miller. Burial will be in Red Oak cemetery.
