Drew served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Carol “Cari” Novotny on November 27, 1987. Drew spent the majority of his working career in the reinforced fiberglass industry working with boat manufacturers. He was a proud and active member of Blue Springs Elks Lodge #2509 and the American Legion Post #499. He enjoyed boating at Lake of the Ozarks and while living in Florida around the Gulf of Mexico, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, cooking, grilling and yard work. Drew cherished the time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, David Martin and wife Jennifer of Kansas City, MO, Domini Shepard and husband Adam of Lake Tapawingo, MO, Kelly Furne of Belton, MO, Ty Odom of Kansas City, MO and 6 grandchildren. Drew is preceded in death by his wife, Cari Martin; parents, Drew Martin II and Margaret LaDue; brother, Robert “Bob” Martin.
Drew will be cremated per his wishes, with a memorial service being held at a later time. A private committal service will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
