Opal Stewart, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 2, 2020. Opal was born in Clay Co, Kentucky on June 19, 1936 to Andrew and Mornen (nee Woods) Hampton. On March 28, 1952 she married David Stewart. She worked at Champion Paper Co. and Beckett Paper Mill. Opal had a love for collecting, antiquing, auctions and opened and ran two used stores. She enjoyed Bingo, listening to music and above all spending time with her family.
Opal is survived by her children, Shelley Terry, Rome Stewart, Tammy (the late Tom) Janosik and Fred Stewart; her grandchildren that they raised as their own, Andrew and Kelly; her grandchildren, Shawn, Leslie, Faith, Haley, Levi and Blake; her 12 great-grandchildren; numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Opal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, David Stewart; her daughter, Kim Stewart; her grandson, Christopher Terry; and her siblings.
Private services will be held at convenience of the family.
