Jean Adams, 96, of Fairgrove, died Saturday morning, July 11, 2020 at Taylor Lodge in Clio, Michigan. She was born August 24, 1923 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Vincent and Alexandria Rogers. Jean was a graduate of Saginaw High School. On June 1, 1946, she was married to Donald Adams at Fairgrove Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1999. Donald and Jean began their life together running Adams General Store in Fairgrove. After starting a family, Jean began working at the Fairgrove Township Library where she held many positions. She was a faithful member of Fairgrove Presbyterian Church for many years, where she held multiple positions including teaching Sunday School. Jean enjoyed gardening, baking, knitting, reading and being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children and their significant others, Terry Adams (Linda Chard), and Shari (Dean) Hadaway; four grandchildren, Erik (Mary) Adams, Jill (Adam) Bradway, Zachary Hadaway and Alexis Hadaway; four great-grandchildren, Katherine and Jack Adams, Kayler and Winnie Bradway; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Donald, Jean was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Tillie (Roy) Hayward.

Jean’s Funeral Liturgy will be a private ceremony with her immediate family only at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from the Ware-Smith Woolever Home, 9940 Saginaw Street in Reese. Reverend Philomena Ofori-Nipaau will officiate with private family Committal Services to follow in the Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.
