MYERS, Billy Ray, Sr., a resident of Eclectic, Alabama passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the age of 80. The family will receive friends Friday, December 20, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at his residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday December 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Union United Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Robbins officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mr. Myers is preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Crosby Corley; siblings, Robert Lee Myers, Thomas Myers, Bobby Neil Boswell, Mary Jewel Cooper and Marie Wingard. He is survived by his wife Nancy Myers; children, Brenda (Odie)Oden, Billy Myers, Jr., Debra (Mike) Baker, Deanna Strickland, Eddie (Celeste) Crosby, Deborah Crosby DeJong, Robbie (Dianne) Crosby; siblings, Barbara Dreyer, Peggy Boswell, James Myers; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Myers, Chris Mann, TJ Johnson, Mike Baker, Odie Oden, Scooby Seamon, Caleb Cope and Brad Cope. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Haynie, Gary Hilburn, Mike Mays and Eddie Crosby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Elmore County. Wetumpka, Alabama.
