Janet Lee Myers
July 23, 1947 - April 13, 2020

Janet Lee Myers, at age 72, went on to her Heavenly home on April 13th, 2020. She came into this world in July of 1947 and leaves behind her a beautiful legacy. Her life in Winchester, Tennessee was filled with love, music, and joy for the Lord. Sassy and matter-of-fact, quick-witted and sarcastic – she always told you how it was, but her homemade pecan pie would take the sting out of any hard truths she might have shared. A long-time member and lay speaker of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church family, her joy for God and gospel music was infectious. She loved spending countless summers with loved ones traveling to bluegrass festivals, reading her Bible, and spending time with her church. Janet was a symbol of strength, humor, and God’s love.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mildred Myers. She leaves behind best friend Lowell Towry; brother, Leslie Wayne Myers; niece, Leslie Myers Smith (Chris); nephew, Jeremy Myers (Alicia); and a multitude of friends and loved ones who will all miss her dearly.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24
